When can I schedule an eye examination?
Good News! On April 23, 2020, Governor Beshear announced that Optometrists could now open their doors for business once again! Stratton Eyes will begin seeing patients on Monday April 27th.

Do I have to wear a mask to my appointment?
Yes! At this time, the CDC is requiring all patients entering our office to wear a mask. We can provide one for you if you do not have one.
What about social distancing while at Stratton Eyes?
Governor Beshear has asked us to turn our parking lots into waiting areas. Therefore, we are requesting that upon arrival, patients check in via text or phone call from your car and we will notify you when it is time to enter our office
What precautions is Stratton Eyes taking to ensure my safety when I come for my appointment?
Our goal is to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for everyone in our office. If you have symptoms of cough, respiratory distress, or a fever, we are asking that you delay your appointment. All patients will be required to answer a short questionnaire and have their temperature taken via a non-contact thermometer upon arrival for your appointment.
How is Stratton Eyes disinfecting the office?

Our goal is to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for everyone in our office. We are strictly following CDC guidelines for cleaning, including daily staff training on these measures. This includes but is not limited to:

  • An entry-way hand sanitization station has been placed inside the main entrance
  • All staff are equipped with PPE, including masks, gloves, and face shields
  • Regularly cleaning and disinfecting railings, door handles, counters, reception room areas, and all spaces where public interaction occurs. We are cleaning at least every hour using CDC approved products consisting of bleach and alcohol as an additional precaution.
  • Individual examination rooms are disinfected after every patient exam, including all surfaces, instrumentation, door handles, and equipment.
  • Alcohol sanitizer is available in all areas of our Stratton Eyes Clinic.
How quickly can I get in for an exam?

We are limiting patient encounters to every 30 minutes, and limiting the number of patients in our office at one time. Only one doctor per day will be seeing patients in the office and all patient encounters must be by appointment.

I am at high risk of becoming infected by COVID-19. Can I still schedule and eye examination?

We are strongly encouraging our high-risk patients to avoid public spaces at this time and that includes Stratton Eyes. Please call to see if we can assist you with any problems you may be having until we feel it is safe for you to be examined.

I need a new pair of glasses. Do I need an appointment?

Yes! At this time, we have been asked to maintain social distancing in our optical and waiting areas. We ask all patients to call and schedule appointments for glasses repairs, adjustments and to pick out new frames.

I ordered glasses in February and I still have not received a call that they are ready. Can I just come in to pick up them up?

We are sorry about the delay.  We are getting caught up after shipping and manufacturing delays and will be calling you to arrange an appointment to pick up your new glasses as soon as we can. 

I am out of contact lenses. Can I still order contacts through Stratton Eyes?

Yes!  Please send an email to [email protected] and one of our staff will contact you.

My contact lens prescription is expired. What now?
